The Wog Boy DVD Wins International Award March 6 2001
When Twentieth
Century Fox Home Entertainment, distributors of the hit movie The Wog
Boy, turned to Jeff Sunderland of DVDTECH to produce their
movie on DVD they had no idea they were about to make history.
The Wog Boy was one of the first 'all' Australian productions to be DVD authored by an Australian company. Last week in Las Vegas it became the first Australian DVD to win a DVDA Excellence Award for menu quality and presentation.
DVDA is an international professional association whose members include developers, producers and industry leaders facing the challenges of the fast changing world of DVD.
This award is an important recognition of the growing local DVD market. Managing Director of DVDTECH Jeff Sunderland said, "For the past couple of years colleagues and clients in the industry have been talking about the Aussies' growing reputation for creativity and outstanding quality in the entertainment sector. I'm delighted we were able to compete successfully against entries from all over the world".
