Hollywood Taps In To Australian DVD Talent

Award winning DVD authoring company, DVDTECH has staged another coup with the announcement that it is now affiliated with California Video Center, a Division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P. to author titles in Australia.

California Video Center has long been at the forefront of DVD authoring, having released the first consumer motion picture title, Cutthroat Island, in the DVD format in October of 1996. As demand for DVD tities continues to increase, the Time Warner subsidiary CVC has become the most prolific pre-rnastermg facility in the world, having released over 2,000 titles to date.

DVDTECH came to the attention of CVC after authoring local Title from 20th Century Fox and GO Films The Wog Boy.

They were invited to undergo the rigorous accreditation process in Los Angeles and have acquired state-ot-the-art Toshiba emulation equipment that will increase its DVD capacity. To accommodate the planned increase in titles, DVDTECH has recruited an international authoring expert and has increased the amount of studio space the company dedicates to the DVD format.

Managing Director of DVD Technoiogies, Jeff Sunderlancd said, "This affiliation is a real breakthrough for our business. It's great to see that one of the world leaders in the industry has recognised our expertise, Since 1997, when we completed our first movie authoring project, we have produced over a hundred movie titles including The Wog Boy which won an international award at DVDA. We have also produced hundreds of DVD's for corporate clients including Pioneer, Toshiba, Sony Optus and Telstra. We're thrilled at the opportunity to work this closely with CVC on the release of many of their popular titles." This affiliation with CVC and the equipment upgrade also has significant benefits for local clients as DVDTECH can now offer complete DVD production from concept storyboard through to authoring and package design.
