Emulation (Quality Control)Definition

To test the disc at both image file and at DVD-R stage to remove any program errors. Ensure that the disc does what the configuration specified. That the intro sequence is correct, Menus are checked for function, User Operations are checked for permitted and non-permitted operations.


Video is checked to verify quality, chapter search, flash frames, previous/next functions, branching, angles, layer transition. Audio is checked for both multi-channel and stereo down mix. Audio is checked for audio synch problems. Sub pictures are checked that they appear at the correct timing. Language definition is checked.

Testing is the most important factor in the success of a project. Quality Control is of paramount importance at all stages of DVD development.
